expert who also qualified from the USA. In 2004,
the brothers jointly received the Award of Emerging
Entrepreneur Awards 2003, one of the prestigious
Oman Excellence Awards.

Today the group’s core activities are food
related namely food processing and packaging.
AATCO LLC manufactures quality condiments, such
as ketchup, mayonnaise and sauces, while Al Khaleej
Polypropylene Products Co. SAOG manufactures high
quality BOPP films primarily for the food industry
(both companies are based in Oman), Remal Muttrah
LLC manufactures high quality food colours and
essences and Sama international LLC manufactures
high quality drinking water in Iraq.
Companies of the group engaged in non-food related
activities are Nejood Carpets, which manufactures
premium carpets in Oman and Horizon Gases Ltd.
which manufactures gases to demanding industrial
and medical standards in Iraq. The Group recently
acquired Automatic Terrazzo Tiles Co. LLC, a flooring
material manufacturing company.
Recently the Group entered the service sector
with the launch of Mutrah Investment Co. LLC which
specializes in leasing earthmoving and other equipment
to the construction industry.
Quality at an affordable price, forms a cornerstone
of the group’s growth strategy. AATCO is
ISO 9001 and HACCP certified, Al Khaleej Polypropylene
Products Co. is ISO 9001 certified.
The excellence of group companies has been recognized
through numerous awards. Al Khaleej Polypropylene
won the overall Flame of Excellence in 2003 and
has also won the Exporter of the Year award for
2004, capping a record unbroken run of four awards
in a row for this category. AATCO was adjudged
as one of the ten best companies in Oman in 2004
and was a finalist for the Flame of Excellence
2003 and Exporter of the Year 2003.
The manufacturing units of the group employ the
most productive and state-of-the art technology
in order to achieve higher quality at lower costs.
Costs are also pinned down through rigorous monitoring
of wastes and losses as well as by continual efforts
to boost productivity.
